October 25, 2017

This week the Security Council failed to aprove a resolution to extend the mandate of a panel formed to identify people involved in the chemical attacks in Syria. The failure was due to a "no" vote by the permanent member Russia. 11 of the 15 Council´s members voted in favor of the resolution. Besides Russia, Bolivia also voted against the text.
